We make them at our Russian workshop in St. Petersburg, so they are authentic. We take the hand-turned wooden dolls and paint backgrounds, apply printed artwork, blend in hand painted details as needed, and lacquer for a high-gloss sheen. The end result is a quality collectible that amuses and delights, and retains its value and use indefinitely.

To get started, we collect £150 as a prototype development fee. If you provide some raw artwork, we can develop the nesting doll based on our production abilities. You can describe what you’d like, send logo files, other images, etc., and we’ll develop the doll. We usually start by sending digital mock-ups of the design for feedback, then move to making a physical prototype. We’ll send images of the prototype for approval. This prototyping stage usually takes 1-2 weeks. Delivery of the prototype is possible, but requires additional shipping costs and time.

Ideally, we’d like to receive creative artwork in either vector or raster (300 dpi) files in ether AI, PDF, TIFF or EPS format. Specifying Pantone colors should allow us to come very close to desired colors.

Once the prototype is approved, we need to collect prepayment on the order to launch production. We like to have about 6-8 weeks to fill most orders, but in some cases can work faster if need be. We could produce your 50 units within 3-4 weeks, I’d say, and then need to look at delivery options.

Price is specific to design and size, but here are some ballpark figures to consider for a range of typical projects. Once we make a prototype and understand the complexity of the design, we can fine tune a quote for your design and quantity.

These prices are FOB. We could then forward your order to the UK for about £200 USPS priority mail. For a faster delivery, we could expedite directly out of Russia at a cost of roughly £500, or ship on your UPS account.

To upgrade packaging, we offer a nice flannel gift pouch for £0.15 pc., which can be customized with a hot stamp for an additional £1 pc.

Another packaging option is the clear plastic cylinder which can be customized with a logo sticker. The customized cylinder costs £1.50.
